Al's Signs Los Angeles / San Gabriel Valley Original Sign Painter

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking a glimpse into Al's work truck. This isn't any ordinary work truck, what makes this truck so special is that its full of art history. Al is one of the most quintessential sign painters around the Los Angeles / San Gabriel area. A mentor to many, Al is one of the friendliest artist I have ever come across, he is the type to share his knowledge with those interested. Al's legacy is infinite for even his off springs are talented artist as well. Sign painting is an intricate talent and art, with the rising enthusiasm in Sign painting its evident that more and more people are taking an interest into this almost forgotten art. Down with dye cut and cheap sticker signs,
Al's immense hand styles and sign painting is irrefutable.

Blockhead at the King King

Last night at the King King in Hollywood, Blockhead threw down an awesome Dj set. The club was packed and sold out. The drinks were delicious and the beats were fat and loud. Blockhead even did a badass rendition of a Brenton Wood song. If you missed out on this show you can catch Blockhead again at the end of month on Friday December 28th.
See below for a few snap shots and a short video.
